I am currently living on campus here in Fairbanks Alaska. I moved here in the fall of 2004 to start my undergraduate studies in chemistry and biochemistry and I have been here ever since, except for a year spent abroad. I hope that I can learn how to express myself better through my writ ting. Most the writing that is required in the chemistry department and in our field of academia is fairly technical, and it lacks a sense of inherent creativity. I hope that through this course I am able to expand my literary and writing techniques. So far I don't have any fears or concerns about this class.My hobbies are quite varied, I have been playing the piano for about twelve years off and on. I find playing the piano is quite relaxing for me. I also engage in shooting sports both rifle and pistol marksmanship and am actively engaged in community outreach through the chemistry department. All of which I feel are important parts of my personal life.
